Orlando Shooting
To all my American Brothers and Sisters, us Canadians are just as shocked as you all are about this callous and evil shooting by a madman. There are 50 families now mourning lost loved ones. 50 people whose lives have been cut short by a self-righteous evil man that saw fit to become their judge, jury, and executioner.
By doing this evil act, this man has disobeyed one of God's commandments..."Thou shalt not kill" Exodus 20:13 We stand by you in condemning this evil action. May God condemn this murderer to Hell. Your Brother, George |

RE: Orlando Shooting
Dear Brother Geoge,
Thank you for the words of support. We are all shocked here in the States. Some people I know are too afraid to go to a sporting venue or any public place, fearing some lunatic might suddenly pull out a machine gun on the crowds. It's a sad world we live in where this kind of thing is happening more frequently. Nearly every week there is a school shooting somewhere in America. It's so common now that not all of the school shootings even make the national news headlines anymore. Some just get a small mention on the evening news. Most just get local news coverage from the town where the shooting happened. I remember when the Columbine school shooting happened, it was all over the news, every day, and around the world. The entire country and most of the world was shocked and in disbelief. Nowadays a school shooting is just one recurring incident in another typical week in the USA. May God help us. James Vilar |

RE: Orlando Shooting
Hi George,
Your compassionate support is much appreciated. This particular killing spree is better defined as a hate crime rather than a terrorist act. A terrorist act has the purpose of inflicting fear & terror into the population. But this killing is now widely known as having been sparked when the killer got enraged after seeing 2 gay men kissing. He planned the killings very carefully, even downloading a gay dating app to find out where gay men were hanging out. You were correct George when you said this man made himself Judge Jury and Executioner. He was obviously of an unstable mind. I have had mixed reactions from some people I know, about the victims. Because the victims were gay, some people seem less disturbed about the loss of gay lives by this "lone-wolf" terrorist. Some highly religous people I know had quoted Leviticus 20:13 which states "If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives.” At first, they say that they are horrified by the actions of the killer, then they're quoting Leviticus 20:13 as if to imply that those 50 victims were killed by the hand of God. It's sickening to be honest. Regardless of our personal beliefs, only God can judge us and dish out the punishment for our sins. My condolences goes out to the victims and their families. -David |

RE: Orlando Shooting
Hi Folks,
This is a very important topic because it shows what can happen when someone takes God's laws into their own hands. If that's what happened here at all. From what I heard so far about this tragedy, I don't think this guy believed he was doing God's work. I think he just hated gay people and he happened to be insane enough to indiscriminately kill a fellow human being. I would also like to give my condolences to the families of the victims of this sad tragedy. Eric |

RE: Orlando Shooting
This very bad thing to happen with the people killed. Even if no like the gay is not reason to make killing. Every year this world gets more sad and lost. Please God help us.
