Favourite Bible Verse
Hi everybody.
I thought we could have a little fun and quote each other our favourite Bible verses. My personal favourite is John 8:32, which says: "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” It's the one I always remember easily for some reason. It also has a lot meaning for me because this Church is all about knowing the truth, and Sajih has done a great job in revealing so much truth to us. Sometimes when I'm driving and see a church building, I yell out "JOHN 8 VERSE 32" as I'm driving past. I do this mostly for a laugh, and no one ever actually hears me yelling it. Although they deserve it for being so hypocritical. In case anyone does not know the contents of this verse...it was Jesus talking to some Jews, telling them “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” The "free" that Jesus was referring to, was about freedom from sin, not freedom from slavery as the Jews wrongly assumed. Check out the whole of John chapter 8, it makes interesting reading. |

RE: Favourite Bible Verse
Thank you Marwan for this great idea
Hi everybody my favourite verse which I just love quoting all the time is Luke 24:44 44 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” There is not a day that goes by where I do not deeply ponder about this extraordinary verse and how It became the grand masterkey to all the scriptures A masterkey that has greatly helped me to gain a clearer understanding to the truth of what our One True God is about It has given me the tools I needed to cross reference all the scriptures and to clearly distinguish between the truth and deceit in them The enormity of this verse has not only helped Uncover the missing pieces of the jigsaw puzzle to history which has been maliciously hidden from mankind but has In essence re-written history itself tragically for the Jews and Christians this epic verse means Jesus is endorsing the writings that came in the so called Old Testament the writings of the prophets and the psalms that Clearly talked about him being saved from death In complete contrast to the deceitful teachings of the false scholars scribes historians priests and rabbis not to mention The rogue Muslim scholars and Mulas who discard these scriptures and demean them in order to continue to have full control of peoples lives both physically mentally and spiritually For me never in a million years would I ever have imagined that from this One amazing verse which Jesus had gifted us as a golden clue Would my knowledge of the scriptures expand beyond the borders of the Torah gospel and Quran to include other scriptures such as the books of Enoch books of Eden and book of Jasher This amazing verse has also enlightened me to the truth that the Psalms were given to our dear prophet David which were written for the most part about Jesus being saved from death as I have proven beyond reasonable doubt time and time again In complete contrast to the deceit that they were written about David What I also have been able to ascertain from all of the above is that This amazing verse Which came from the so called New Testament through the powerful words of our only teacher Jesus NOW And I strongly affirm NOW nullifies for once and for all time the very concept of the new and Old Testament itself as its explosive text along with Matthew 5:17&18 clearly UNIFIES and does not divide I repeat clearly UNIFIES both Testaments under ONE...... Testament freeing us all from the slavery of Satan and his servants I have been honoured in sharing this information with you all Have a great day everyone whether it is morning night or afternoon Your humble brother always sajihr |

RE: Favourite Bible Verse
Those are great quotes Marwan & Sajih. Here's my contribution:
Revelation 22:4 “They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.” The reason I love this verse is because it promises us that we will see the face of Jesus. Haven’t you deeply yearned to see the face of Jesus face for the first time? Eric |

RE: Favourite Bible Verse
I like this discussion. My favorite bible quote is Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This quote makes my spirit feel loved by God, that I matter to him because I'm part of his plans, and that he promises to look after me and my future well being. David |

RE: Favourite Bible Verse
Hi everybody. I had to jump in here and give my favorite bible verse, what a great topic.
It was very interesting reading everyone's favorite bible sections. Marwan's favorite made me laugh as I was imagining him yelling it out of his car window! Sajih's favorite was very insightful and informative. David's favorite is similar to my favorite, which is Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. This verse gives me strength, and makes me feel that I have God's power on my side, guiding me and helping me in life. May God bless you all, James & jennifer |

RE: Favourite Bible Verse
Hello to all my friends here. It has been a long time since I contributed here, but when I saw this bible discussion, I had to include my favorite.
I like Psalm 56:3 "When I am afraid, I put my trust in you." God bless, George |
